We have to admit that Burberry is stepping it up on the casual wear front for this Spring. “Building on its heritage of fabric innovation and development, the Burberry sport collection includes technical performance-enhancing fabrics including waterproof nylon laminates, bonded nylon windproof jersey, shower-proof nylon, superfine piqué, featherweight nylon corduroy ripstop, silk jersey and breathable nylon jersey.”

Land Rover LRX concept

I know its not clothes or fashion but its too sexy too pass by, everyone needs to know about this car. Land Rover recently unveiled there latest concept CUV at the Detroit Auto Show say "Conceived as a 2.0-litre, Federalised, turbodiesel hybrid, with potential CO2 emissions of 120 g/km." The UK government (BIG UP!!) liked the sound of this and has offered an extended grant of £27 million to Land Rover to produce cars based on the LRX. Land Rover will be giving their answer on the project, which will total up to around £400 million, later this year. If they do go ahead this will be the small, lightest and most fuel efficient Land Rover ever built. I think Land Rover need to make up their mind, grab the money and produce one of the sexiest cars seen.

She has been influenced by design and creativity from a young age and has some strong role models too look up too, as you will find out in her interview. Interview

1. What made you start Bird Apparel?
I've been designing and sewing clothes from a young age. My Nonna and Nonno were designers, but went by the titles seamstress and tailor. I grew up around fabric and sewing machines, so I guess it's always been a part of me. I studied Fashion Design, but it wasn't until after I had kids and was home that I decided to make clothing and sell it on-line.

2. Who has inspired your designs? It's hard to say really who or what inspires my designs. I tend not to read too many magazines or watch many fashion shows, so I think I get most of my inspiration from street style, what my friends like, nature and music. I get these little ideas in my head, and I'm not always sure where they come from.

3. Do you design and make everything yourself? Yes, I do design and make everything myself in my basement sweatshop!!!

4. Whose clothes and accessories do your wear other then yours the most? (fav clothing company?)
I don't have one particular favourite clothing store or designer. I don't like labels either. I'm not concerned about what the tag says and if it cost $1 or $100. Actually, I'm a total bargain shopper. I also love vintage clothing, and scouring through thrift shops. I love finding great vintage buys on Etsy. There's some really cool stuff here.

5. Most played on your itunes at the moment?
Most played on my i-tunes: I'm listening to a lot of 80's new wave and new romantics right now. I'm finding all this stuff that I used to listen to as a kid and it still sounds amazing today. But my top 5 played are: The Jam – A Town Called Malice, The Kinks – Come Dancing, Justice – Genesis, Jarvis Cocker – Fat Children, Madness - It Must Be Love.

6. Top 5 musical artists?
My top five musical artists would have to be (not in any specific order): Belle and Sebastian, Pulp, Nick Drake, The Beatles, PJ Harvey, The Stone Roses, Paul Weller. That was seven - I couldn’t decide!

DC Shoes 2009 Spring LIFE Collection

DC presents their Spring 2009 Life collection the “Special Delivery” pack. The pack consists of two sneakers, inspired by the old days of communication. The uppers feature Tyvek paper, the same durable paper used for shipping bags. The sneakers come in brown/gold and white/purple/silver and are now available at DC retailers. DC are really step up to the plate and moving away from the typical thoughts of DC as a wannabe skateboards show with huge tongues and fat laces, but they are coming out with some stylish simplistic styles.

Crooks and Castles Spring Line 2009

Crooks are not always just torchin’ and crackin' and rhymin' and stealin’ shit. Sometimes they are just as happy to ante up and dole out their fortunes and that is exactly why we love Crooks & Castles so much here at Peaches Apparel.

The new crack supplied by L.A.’s finest includes the Naval CC Rugby Polo, the Crossbones Jacket, and the Coco Sweatshirt, which is just a portion of the potion we dropped this past week.

The Naval CC Rugby Polo has us drooling out here. Ideal for those days on the yacht after a long night of power moves, it is soft and comfortable enough for any weather condition and the embroidery on the chest emblem and back piece screams high class.

Gangster. The Crossbones Jacket looks like it was pulled right off of the back of Eric Wright circa 1988, with a modern twist by the C&C folks. Sporting the Coco logo on the chest and back, rock this banger with your Locs, Chucks and khakis and just watch the suckers get out of your way.

Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel was a pioneering French fashion designer whose modernist philosophy, menswear-inspired fashions and pursuit of expensive simplicity made her an important figure in 20th-century fash- … oh, what the fuck do we care? All that matters is her “Number 5” fragrance logo got Crooked and stanked the fuck out, seen here on the Coco Sweatshirt. Do your dirt rocking this and you will still come off fresh.

Paris Fashion Week for the Fall/Winter 2009 Prêt-à-porter (ready-to-wear) collections is in full swing and today marked the Vivienne Westwood runway show at the beautiful Place Vendôme in Paris.

As we told you earlier, Dame Westwood has taken a serious liking to Pamela Anderson, featuring the actress in her Spring/Summer 2009 ad campaign. Ms. Anderson was then asked to be a special celebrity model at Westwood’s Paris Fashion Week show for the Autumn/Winter 2009 collections.

At today’s runway show, Pamela Anderson modeled not one, but three distinct ensembles.

First, dressed as an angel, she strutted down the catwalk in a pink tutu, knee socks, and platform shoes. According to the Telegraph, “[her] hands were tied behind her back in a reference to the world’s apparent inability to halt global warming.”

Second, she wore hot pants and a skin-tight sports jersey, also wearing the same knee socks and platform shoes as from the previous outfit.

Third, Pamela donned a black skirt suit, veiled in black gauze. When Anderson came out a the end of the show with Vivienne Westwood — and still wearing this ensemble, though having removed the veil wrap — she experienced a momentary wardrobe malfunction and ended up inadvertently flashing one of her breasts to the guests.

Every week we will be spotlighting a different designer. They could be mainstream, they could be handmade, they could even be just starting out. We will be picking some of the hottest designers of clothing, accessories and more. So look out.

Rider Knits

This weeks designer is a Canadian native. At the moment residing in London, Ontario attending Western university, Krystyn Coombs. She has taken crocheting to a next level. She has given the old time classic and added her own urban vibe to her hats, headbands and the new RK collection called Oceanna Collection which features tops, bags and bikini tops. All items are hand made and custom orders can be placed to gain just the look you are searching for. WE managed to catch up with Krystyn and got a quick interview about her and her company.

Q. What made you start RK?
A. Rider Knits was developed out of my love for the rider lifestyle and my spirit for art. I tore my ACL two summers ago during a wakeboard session. At first I was devastated but then I decided to fill my time with my other passion; fashion. Rider Knits was developed shortly after that and has been growing strong ever since.

Q. Who has inspired your designs?
A. My designs are inspired by the beaches of California, the mountains of BC, the lakes of Muskoka, and the riders that fill them.

Q. Do you design and make everything yourself?
A. All designs are hand-made and created by myself.

Q.Whose clothes and accessories do your wear other then yours the most?
A. My absolute favorite clothing company, at the moment, is tied between Odd Molly and Free People.

Q. What is the most played at the moment on your iTunes?
A. Most played is definitely anything folk, acoustic, and sometimes a little rock. At the top of my most played list is Bob Dylan, without a doubt.

Q. Top 5 Musical Artists?
A. OK that's difficult, it has definately evolved over time but here goes: 1. Beatles 2. Brett Dennen 3. Dave Matthews Band 4. Jack Johnson 5. Radiohead
